Hsd is not the only wonderful Hebrew word for God's love. Another amazing one is rhm, whose Aramaic roots mean not only tenderness and compassion but also maiden or mother's womb, or even belly. To know that God loves me with the visceral kind of love that I have for my children rescues the relationship from the anodyne.

Kitba bil-Malti
Qieghda niehu gost nikteb bil-Malti, anki jekk qieghda naghmel hafna zbalji. Ahjar nibda naqra xi ftit Malti biex nitghallem naqra! (jew naqra ... hey, a Maltese pun!)
Siegha
M'hemmx kelma fil-Hebrew ghal "siegha". Bil-Aramaic ta' Daniel biss, li huwa miktub aktar tard. Nixtieq li kieku ahna nghixu f'socjeta fejn l-unika kelma ghall-passagg taz-zmien huwa "jum"!
